My AdvoCare Testimony

July 16, 2010

Anyone who has known me since elementary school can tell you that I have struggled with my weight since 2nd grade. After a ruptured appendix, I had trouble exercising for years. I could workout, but only for a short time, then my side would start cramping. Eventually, I started avoiding exercise to avoid the pain. By the time I realized that I no longer had such painful cramping, I was so out of shape that I would get out of breath just running to the end of the driveway.

One summer, I spent everyday working out every second that I could push my body to keep going. During that time, I ate as little as I could get by with. Still, by the end of the summer, I had lost a total of 12 lbs and not a single inch off my stomach.

Through the years, I have tried one diet after another, including the Atkins diet twice. I would always lose a little weight, but few or no inches from my stomach. And, of course, I would regain all the weight and more when I would get off a diet.

During the past year, I had been going to the doctor at least once a month, usually 2 or 3 times a month. I was on various medications including medicines to: control high blood pressure, control pulse rate, lower triglycerides, 50,000 iu Vitamin D per week to raise serum Vitamin D levels, allergy medications, headache medications, and occasional use inhalers, plus prescription diet pills. Additionally, I was borderline diabetic, which means that my blood sugar was always either at the high end of the “normal” range or in the lower end of the “high” range. It never dropped to the true normal range nor into the low range.

During the 3 months that I was on the diet pills, I lost about 15 lbs or so, but put two-thirds of it back on when I had to stop taking them because my heart rate and my blood pressure were getting out of control.

After our doctor and several people at our church had recommended AdvoCare as a better option, I decided that I might as well try it. At first, I was skeptical, but determined to find something that would work to get my weight under control.

So, June 15, 2010 my wife and I started on the AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge. Within 3-4 days of starting the system (Wednesday-Thursday), I had forgotten to take ALL of my medications, but was still checking my blood pressure and blood sugar. During that time, I noticed that all my stats were moving into the normal range. At first, I thought, “Finally, the medications are starting to do their job.” The following Tuesday, I realized that I had not been taking my medications for 5-6 days. I decided that I would not take them again until I had talked to my doctor (had already scheduled a follow-up appointment for that Thursday) and see what he thought I should do.

When I went in for my follow-up appointment, I had been off my medications for a week or more. The doctor looked at my stats and listened to my story. His reaction was immediate, “Wow! I say stay off the meds and keep doing the AdvoCare. We’ll follow-up in 2 months and if everything looks good then, we’ll stretch to every 6 months thereafter.”

At the end of the 24-Day Challenge, I had lost nearly 18lbs and over 20 inches overall (4 1/4 inches just from my stomach).

As of this writing, Day 8 past the 24-Day Challenge, I am down 20.6lbs and am having to pull my belts and waistband ties tighter every couple of days. But, more importantly, I have: 1) enough energy to mostly keep up with my 4-year old son, 2) stayed off all medications and kept my stats in the normal or low range, 3) no interest whatsoever in quitting or giving up on AdvoCare, 4) an opportunity to help others to achieve similar results. My blood sugar levels are averaging normal to low-normal range and my blood pressure is averaging about 115/72 even shortly after a ride on the stationary bike.

I started my 24-Day Challenge at 272.2lbs and am now down to 251.6. My goal is to get to somewhere around 155-158lbs. When I started, my pants (44-48 waists) were tight to the point of discomfort. Now, I am wearing 38-42 waists and pulling my belts tighter and tighter. I would wear smaller pants, but I don’t have them and can’t see the point in buying any right now, since I’m still losing weight and inches. Since I have the summer off, I will just wait a while longer before I even think about buying any new clothes.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention: 1) I used to drink anywhere from 6-10 diet cokes a day – now I drink none at all, 2) my allergies are all but completely gone, 3) in the last month, the only time I have seen the doctor is for my follow-up appointment that I had already scheduled before I started the AdvoCare.

Now, I am not a doctor and cannot say that AdvoCare will get you off your medications or anything like that. But, I can show you more testimonials of people who have lost significant amounts of weight, gained energy that allowed them to do things better than they had in the past, etc. With those and the history and philosophy of the company, I was convinced, especially when I started seeing immediate results. And, I believe that anyone who gives the products a try and uses them correctly, will see results, too.

24 Day Challenge Successful

July 9, 2010

We just finished our 24 Day Challenge. I am down 17.2 lbs and at least 5 pants sizes. My wife is down 9.2 lbs and noticing her clothes getting looser. Our energy is great. I am off all my medications, including blood pressure, heart rate, and triglyceride medications. I had been taking prescription diet pills and was stuck between 260 and 265 lbs. Now, I am down to 255 and still losing weight and inches.

Anyone can do this. I was unable to exercise any more than I had before starting the Challenge, but still lost significantly. Now, I am starting to be able to exercise more and will be able to lose even more, even more quickly.

We will be continuing our healthy eating program along with the AdvoCare products.
